The French love their fowl....not just their ducks, but their geese, roosters,
pintade, pigeons, and poules. You see them represented everywhere - on menus, posters, weathervanes, aprons,
pillows and just painted on the side of walls. The rooster is a symbol of hospitality in France and is one of the reasons it is plentiful - the people, and the country welcome you and proudly wear their roosters on their sleeves (literally!)
