Dear Friends,  Happy New Year! An enormous heartfelt thank you for your warm response to Andover Chamber Music's recent end-of year-appeal. It's not fun to ask for support, so we are very touched by your understanding and generosity. An official thank you letter (and CD gift to many) is in the mail. In a few weeks I will be giving a faculty recital at Longy, and am very lucky to be playing with both of my children, pianist Sophie Scolnik-Brower, and cellist Sasha Scolnik-Brower. Many of you know them from their own performances, but this will be one of the first Boston-area concerts involving all three of us.

The program is infectiously fun, and full of rarely-played works: Villa-Lobo's colorful "Jet Whistle," for flute & cello, transcriptions for flute & piano of the Brahms Eb Clarinet Sonata and of Bach's buoyant "Italian Concerto," the deliciously sinuous tangos of Piazzolla's "Four Seasons of Buenos Aires" and a couple of short concert gems from our Salut D'Amour CD. Reception to follow.
